Last week, the Made In France fair took place. This annual event brings together companies of all sizes that have opted for Made In France. More than 100,000 visitors came to the event again this year.
Normandy has a wealth of ancestral know-how in a variety of sectors. Nearly 80,000 craft businesses in Normandy contribute to the reputation of the craft and art trades sector. The Region was present at the event at ARSEN’s side, the association of Normandy Excellence Know-how. 17 companies were present in a 216m2 pavilion:
Agri-food:
- Biscuiterie Jeannette: creating top-of-the-range biscuits using raw materials from Normandy.
- Saveurs de Normandie: a collective brand of Normandy products, committed to 3 values: originality, quality and flavour. Each days, different members of this collective were represented their know-how
Innovation:
- Drop: More than just a water filter, Drop! produces design objects that allow consumers to strain water.
- Normandise: manufacturing healthy pet food, respectful of animals and the environment.
- Les Bénéfiques: the first open-source cosmetic brand. Products are fabricated with French natural raw materials.
- Kiplay: manufacturing PPE and work clothes. Health and security are priorities. The company has recently designed a jacket to relieve back pain.
Textiles and materials:
- Djampeko: unique clothes made from old sheets, linen and canvas.
- Grenouille Rouge: bags and accessories made from linen or jute.
- Peaux et Pantoufle: creation of sheepskin slippers and accessories
- Nhorsemandy: creation of a horse saddle
- Mijuin: clothes made from linen
- Cherbourg Umbrella: family business creating luxury umbrellas
- St James: famous for its sailor jumper, this company designs quality jumpers
- Tournabois: turning and machining wood to create everyday objects
- Bella Chic: creating gourmet candles
- Bougie Normande: creating eco-friendly scented candles
- Maroquinerie du Cotentin: manufacture of leather goods, giving preference to skins from the food industry to follow a recycling process
